Woman with sciatica pain If you have sciatica, we have good news for you.

Many people who suffer from sciatica have tried traditional methods to manage their pain, most likely taking plenty of pain killers with no relief.

There is a better way.

Spinal Decompression for Sciatica Treatment in Seattle

Sciatica is the name for leg pain that results from a pinching or irritation of the sciatic nerve, which originates in the lower back and continues all the way down into the lower leg.

What most people don’t realize is that there is a way to un-pinch the sciatic nerve, and promote healing of any damaged tissues. That method is called spinal decompression therapy.

Spinal decompression therapy works by applying light, controlled traction to the spine that encourages it to lengthen. This is an especially useful technique for sciatica treatment because of the physiology of sciatica.

Sciatica is always the result of an underlying medical condition, such as a herniated disk or other issues. If there are problems in the lumbar (lower) region of the back, often, the problem lies in the spinal column and the result is sciatic leg pain.

Traditional medicinal methods for treating sciatica would be to manage the pain with pain killers and likely undergo surgery to correct whatever underlying problem exists with the spinal column.

However, spinal decompression therapy is an alternative treatment method that is often overlooked. In fact, spinal decompression is a superior sciatica treatment because it works to address the underlying problem causing the pain, rather than just the pain itself. Best of all, it is totally non-invasive.
